European web hosting provider Easyspace announced on Monday it has opened a new high specification Tier 3 data center in London, UK. The facility, designed specifically for large scale server hosting and collocation, offers 16,000 square feet of resilient and secure data center space across 4 separate data halls.
The data center will be monitored 24 hours a day by Easyspace's systems and network engineers, contains an integrated environment and security management system, fully redundant power, dark fiber capability and market leading network infrastructure, says Easyspace.
The company has launched a targeted campaign for the new facility, entitled 'London's Best Kept Secret, aimed at the senior IT and business executives of Europe's leading financial and commercial organisations.
"The purpose of the campaign is twofold. Firstly, given the recent predictions that existing UK carrier neutral data centre capacity will effectively run out this year, we wanted to inform companies that such a facility really does exist in the City," says Sarah Haran, managing director of Easyspace. "Secondly, we wish to invite them along to see the data center with their own eyes, hence the Best Kept Secret campaign."
