Be Unlimited ISP hit by DNS issues
The 'up to' 24Mbps broadband ADSL2+ offering UK ISP 'Be' has reported that its service is currently experiencing some DNS related server problems. One of our readers, Adam, managed to receive the following confirmation to his request for support:
Thank you for contacting O2 Broadband.
We are indeed currently experiencing issues with our DNS Servers. We are working to resolve this issue as soon as we can, and would like to thank you for your patience.
It's unclear precisely what has caused the problem, which can result in difficulties loading websites and accessing e-mails. Given that the issue appears to be focused on the ISP’s DNS servers then the free ‘OpenDNS’ system may be useful as a temporary replacement.
