Network equipment provider Cisco (www.cisco.com) announced on Friday it will host a live interactive online broadcast and Q&A session via Cisco WebEx on May 12 at 8:00 a.m. PST.
During the one-hour presentation, Cisco will discuss its strategy for Unified Computing in the data center and service providers' Internet Protocol Next Generation Networks platforms.
The company first unveiled its new data center strategy earlier this year, which comprises a new architecture, services and multiple partners to help customers develop data centers using virtualization.
Cisco's Unified Computing System approach brings together compute, network, storage access, and virtualization resources in a single energy efficient system.
The strategy can ultimately lead to reduced IT infrastructure costs and complexity, greater capital assets and improved business agility.
The company's top executives will deliver the presentation, including Kelly Ahuja, senior vice president and general manager of service provider routing technology group; Suraj Shetty, vice president of global service provider marketing; and Simon Aspinall, senior director of service provider marketing.
To view the broadcast, individuals can visit the Cisco WebEx site on May 12 at 8:00 a.m. PST, where they will be required to enter the meeting password "Cisco", click "Join Now", then follow further instructions on the page.
The webinar presentation is free and does not require individuals to register.
