Wind farm workers had to be rescued from a barge in the Solway Firth following heavy storms.
Originally, 42 workers had been onboard the barge working on the Robin Rigg wind farm, midway between Dumfries and Galloway, on the night of January 29.
But during the night, three of the four anchor cables securing the barge broke in heavy seas, and 33 of the workers were sent back to shore.
As conditions worsened, the remaining nine workers were forced to call in the coastguards at 8.20am on Friday morning, and lifeboats and a helicopter were dispatched to take them to safety.
