Website gives firms basics, resources on climate change
With the goal of addressing climate change though the free flow of information, the Global Environmental Management Initiative (GEMI) has launched its new Business & Climate Change website.
The site's goal is to share the information businesses need to understand climate change, risks and opportunities associated with it, and how to create and put in place strategies for reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
From figuring out how climate change can cause a business to suffer all the way to reducing, tracking and reporting greenhouse gas emissions, the site covers the main steps a company has to follow to consider when making climate change efforts.
The Business & Climate Change site includes best practices and case studies looking deeper into individual business' actions and results.
Founded in 1990, the Global Environmental Management Initiative is a non-profit made up of 37 companies with the goal of helping businesses improve the environment, health and safety globally. The organization's programs include water sustainability and sustainable development tools and resources.
