Scale up and out

With our public cloud, you can scale up and out quickly and easily through the MyUKFast dashboard, spinning up as many VMs as you wish with no disruption to your solution. Reconfigure RAM, CPU or storage independently of each other to scale existing VMs or deploy additional VMs to suit your needs.

Supported from the start

We offer pod-based support, meaning you’re supported by a dedicated team of engineers and your account manager 24/7/365. Every time you call, you’re through to a real person in just three rings, talking to someone who knows your solution so we can provide the best support possible.

Cost that scales with you

Save money and resources with our pay-as-you-go billing option, which gives you the ability to optimise costs in line with your cloud requirements. Scale down resources when business is quiet, scale up quickly and easily during busy periods and only ever pay for what you use.

Automate with our APIs

Use the eCloud® API to automate processes within your cloud environment with just a few lines of code. Automate the deployment of VMs for testing and their destruction once testing is complete, or even automate scaling of your virtual web servers to enhance website performance during busy periods - it's your cloud, your way.

Resilient and available

We take pride in providing solutions that are truly reliable and able to cope with even the most intense workloads. From compute layers to storage, networking and data centre infrastructure, our public cloud has no single point of failure - offering high resilience and availability, and built with only enterprise-grade tech for ultimate performance.

Take advantage of our cloud expertise

During the on-boarding process, our experienced solutions architects provide free, expert consultation on what type of cloud is best for your commercial goals, your technical and security needs, and your budget. Here are some of the most commonly asked questions we encounter when discussing the cloud with clients.

What is a multi-tenant environment?
Public clouds are also known as multi-tenant environments because CPU, RAM and storage resources are shared.

How does this differ from private cloud?
UKFast's private cloud solutions provide dedicated CPU and RAM, reserved totally for you. Storage resources can also be shared, as in public cloud environments, or completely dedicated to the user.

Can other tenants see my cloud?
No. Your public cloud environment is separate from other users to ensure your data is never shared with the rest of the network. Your servers can only be accessed through MyUKFast, by authenticated users or by a UKFast engineer.

Can public cloud really handle any size business?
The real beauty of public cloud is its versatility to provide businesses of all sizes with the resources needed to succeed, while offering a cost-effective model and the flexibility to change resource allocation when needed. Whether you’re a startup needing a single VM or an huge agency requiring a complex solution, we make sure that your public cloud works for you, exactly how you want it to.

Is my data secure?
Your data is only ever housed within our highly secure data centres, all facilities of which are ISO certified and PCI compliant to provide the highest levels of protection possible for your cloud environment. We also offer a range of additional cloud security services, such as Threat Monitoring, WAF, DDoS protection and more.

Do you offer encryption
Yes. For an additional cost, you can encrypt your VMs in just a few clicks through MyUKFast. This feature essentially wraps your VM in an encrypted bubble and encrypts all data that is written to disk. Your data is encrypted at rest on our storage arrays and in transit across our storage network.

Your public cloud platform uses VMware ESXi technology. All VMware management hypervisors and VMs are launched on separate physical servers outside the UCS environment.

This, combined with our modular pod-based architecture and segmented management, allows for disaster recovery and auto-deployment in the event of failure.

UKFast is a premier VMware cloud provider committed to bringing you the latest in virtualisation tech. We work extensively with our vendors to develop and build high performance cloud capabilities. Our relationships with VMware and other vendors enables us to be fully involved with the development of new tech, ensuring our clients have access to market-leading, innovative technologies which drive performance.
