With UKFast data centres, your data will always be securely stored within the UK. Our ISO 27001 certified, tier 3 standard data centres are secured to UK government IL4 standards, and with 100% power availability and built-in redundancy for all critical components, you can be assured your mission critical applications will always be online.
Industry standard VESDA (Very Early Smoke Detection Apparatus) and gas-based suppression system are deployed within each data hall (above and below the raised floor) as well as in the energy centre and plant rooms.
As standard a dual stream A & B power supply is delivered via two 32A commando sockets to each lockable, 47U rack. The power distribution to each rack is resilient as each supply emanates from a separate distribution point. High density racks can easily be accommodated on request up to 63A three phase.
Industry recognised UPS units are employed in a N+1 configuration to provide up to 10 minutes of full load cover should the facility need to cut over to generator power supply.
The UPS system also manages and controls the distribution of clean and uninterrupted power within the facility.
3 x 1 MVA SDMO manufactured diesel-powered generators employed in N+1 configurations provide a minimum of 48 hours' of power supply (at full data hall load) to cover any mains power outages. We hold over 45,000 litres of fuel on site, further supported by a refuelling contract delivering fuel to site within 8 hours on a 24/7/365 basis.
PCI and ISO accredited and with 24/7/365 on-site security, access protocol and 2.8m razor wire prison fencing we guarantee the only person accessing your hardware is you.
All of our data centres employ cold aisle containment, consisting of a solid roof and sliding doors at each end to minimise the air loss and increase efficiency.
As a carrier neutral data centre operator we facilitate a wide range of connectivity and communications options including IP transit, Point to Point, Ethernet and diverse dark fibre connectivity to tier 1 and 2 international, national and local carriers.
The power and data cabling management systems have been separated within the data halls to eliminate electromagnetic interference and remove risk of power transients. The power cabling management system has been positioned beneath the 450mm raised floor with the network and data cabling system run via above-rack trays.
In the unfortunate event of hardware failure resulting in data loss, we have a forensic clean room within our data centre complex, with data recovery experts on site. Fully equipped with the latest hardware and software tools, our secure clean room offers the perfect environment for data recovery when the stakes are high and time is short.
If your workplace is disabled by fire, power failure or industrial action, we'll give you the support to resume business operations instantly with a full disaster recovery suite within our data centres
Our technical engineers are on-site at our data centres 24/7/365, available whenever you need assistance.
UKFast operate a fully integrated 24/7/365 DCIM in all data centre facilities to ensure real time monitoring of environmentals, alarms, alerts , data centre operational performance and security.
The DCIM system covers:
