The opportunity…

UKFast is currently looking for a Senior Azure DevOps Engineer to drive us forward on our Public Cloud journey.

Reporting to our Technical Director, your team will be critical to the success of our Azure evolution. Significant investment from leading private equity firm Inflexion is enabling us to rapidly advance our Azure offering, causing customer demand to soar. Although projects are diverse in length and scope, they are technically challenging, complex, and highly fulfilling.

This role is ideal for someone who wants to learn and progress quickly, collaborating with some of the most talented engineers in the Public Cloud/MSP industry.

As further pathways for Microsoft partnership levels are shaped, you will have access to new products, applications, and services to maximise your career potential in the Public Cloud space. This will be a highly rewarding opportunity for the successful candidate who will grow with UKFast on our unique transformational journey.

 

What you will do

  • Develop a broad knowledge of how applications and services are constructed using services within the Azure Ecosystem
  • Build and deploy projects from customers using best practices and internally designed solutions
  • Define implementation architectures and own the success of specific implementation projects
  • Be a point of contact for support escalations within Azure
  • Develop high quality, enterprise-scale IT systems or software projects
  • Conduct thorough product testing for new technologies

 

What you will bring

  • Experience of delivering and managing systems at scale within Azure
  • Experience working across Azure IaaS, Azure PaaS, Azure Networking, and other areas of the platform. With an in-depth knowledge across a couple of areas.
  • General Windows and Linux administration skills, automation, and scripting experience
  • Knowledge of common DevOps skills and methodologies
  • Knowledge of GitHub\Jenkins\Gitlab would be an advantage.
  • Advanced level of expertise in Azure DevOps.
  • Advanced level of using Infrastructure as Code - Azure ARM Template and Terraform/Bicep
  • Advanced level of PowerShell and DSC
  • Experience with at least one popular programming language like C#, Python, NodeJS, etc
  • Experience working with containers in Azure. (Azure Kubernetes Service, Containers for Azure App Service)
  • Azure DevOps Expert (AZ-400) certification is highly desirable. Any other Azure certifications would be a huge plus.
