Le Farinet Hotel - Management Accountant

We have a fantastic opportunity as the Management Accountant at Hotel Farinet, Verbier. What will my responsibilities be?

  • Reporting directly to the Group’s Finance Director you will be responsible for the day-to-day financial management of the Hotel and providing financial support to the Hotel Manager. The role will encompass cash management & controls, customer/ supplier invoice management, internal weekly reporting and stock control.
  • This is a ‘hands-on’ role and you will be responsible for all traditional month-end processes including balance sheet reconciliations, capital expenditure tracking and P&L analytics and commentary.

Other responsibilities include:

  • Reviewing and improving processes and controls
  • Monthly payroll including all relevant reporting and timesheet management
  • Preparing for annual statutory audits and liaising with external advisors during this process
  • Preparation, reconciliation and processing of VAT returns
  • Analysing financial performance and KPIs and contributing to medium and long-term business planning/forecasting processes

What skills do I need to have?

  • Recognised Accounting qualification
  • Commercially minded/analytical
  • Fluent in French is preferable
  • Payroll experience
  • Excel competent
  • A good communicator
  • Goal orientated and driven
  • Able to prioritise, multi-task and work on own initiative
  • Good attention to detail

Contract Type

Full-time November/December 18 to April/May 19 based in Verbier.

Option to extend contract over the summer in the UK
