Events Apprentice

Would you like the opportunity to help facilitate some of Manchester’s most exciting events? If so, then we may have a place for you at UKFast!

Working in one of Manchester hottest new events spaces, you’ll have the opportunity to work alongside our established events team to help set up for and co-ordinate the hospitality elements for a variety of events. We are looking for an apprentice with great organisational skills, a strong attention to detail, high standards and a can-do attitude.

Work includes:

  • Coordinating room bookings
  • Maintaining events admin information
  • Catering to clients’ needs and providing a consistently high standard of visitor experience
  • Welcoming visitors by greeting them, in person or on the telephone; answering or referring inquiries.
  • Directing visitors and managing their day-to-day requests
  • Arranging and serving food and beverages to attendees
  • Set up and breakdown of events spaces
  • Booking external equipment, furniture and catering
  • Maintaining a safe and clean events area by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Maintaining security by following procedures; attendee registrations; issuing visitor badges etc…
  • Maintain basic events and AV equipment
  • Supporting the events team and main reception team with big projects

 What we require:

  • Full      clean UK driving licence is desirable
  • A      keen interest in learning events and hospitality
  • Previous      experience in a similar environment is desirable
  • Able      bodied in order to help set up events spaces/rooms
  • An      interest in AV and the ability to understand/work basic equipment.
  • Awareness      and understanding of best practice in terms of health and safety
  • 5      GCSEs at Grade C or above including Maths and English (Functional Skills      are acceptable).
