The Challenge 

At UKFast we currently have an opportunity for a highly motivated and capable New Business Development Manager to join our Cloud Solutions team. In this role you will play a key role in driving our expansion into the UK Mid-Market with our innovative and award-winning products and services. Like us you will have a customer-obsessive approach with the high level of empathy needed to understand customer needs and translate those needs into solutions.

Supported by UKFast’s highly regarded pre-sales technical team, the New Business Development Manager will work with a wide range of customer organisations at the most senior technical levels to ensure that their critical services are secure, resilient, and have been efficiently designed.

Reporting to the Director of Sales, this role plays a fundamental part in continuing the hugely successful growth of UKFast’s business; building new relationships with our future customers through the application of the right technology and cloud services that deliver service improvements and cost savings to our clients.

This is a great time to be joining our highly motivated team and your wealth of client facing technology sales experience will be key to our continued growth. A good understanding of cloud and associated technologies is essential in this role and previous experience of selling solutions within the cloud space is advantageous. You should be an active listener, have a compelling sales personality and a hunger to close business while delivering customers the solutions they need.

In addition to several years of relevant professional experience with demonstrable success in B2B sales within the IT sector, you will bring the following:

What you will do naturally

  • Make it a fun and rewarding experience for your teams to work with you every day
  • Become a subject matter expert on our business products, processes and operations, and remain up-to-date on industry news
  • Identify trends and customer needs, building a short/medium/long-term sales pipeline in accordance with targets
  • Take a lead role in the development of proposals and presentations for new business materials to create and nurture business opportunities and partnerships
  • Manage proposal response process, including detailed RFP requirements, content creation, and inputs from various sources
  • Generate new leads, identify and contact decision-makers, screen potential business opportunities, select the deals in line with strategies, and lead and facilitate pitch logistics
  • Manage deal structure and pricing for prospective bids and proposals
  • Maintain and share professional knowledge through education, networking, events, and presentations
  • Identify potential clients in the target market and complete appropriate research on the prospective client's business needs
