New Network Stocks iPhone 4

T-Mobile has finally started selling the iPhone 4 a month after its launch, meaning that all major UK networks are now stocking the device.

The operator announced its iPhone 4 price plans at the beginning of the month, charging £259 for the 16GB model at £25 a month with 100 minutes, 100 texts and 500MB of data.

Prices for the 32GB version appear to have improved since the original announcement, however. Customers paying £60 a month will pay £49 for the phone for unlimited minutes, 500 texts and 1GB of data, as opposed to the original £99 charge. Pay-as-you-go prices are unavailable at present.

"Bringing the iPhone 4 to our customers in the UK is a fantastic move for T-Mobile," said Lysa Hardy, vice president of T-Mobile Propositions. "With a range of value plans we're making iPhone 4 more accessible to more customers in the UK."

Rival operator O2, meanwhile, said in its Q2 financial report that it has sold three million iPhones in the UK, and that it has shifted more units since ending its exclusivity agreement with Apple.

An O2 spokesman said that only existing O2 customers are able to receive an iPhone 4 from the operator at present.

"This will remain the case while the low stock situation continues. There is huge demand and we are giving every spare iPhone 4 to our customers," he said.

"Once the level is right, we will make it available to new customers, and will be making the device available on pay-as-you-go, but there are no specific details yet."

Three, Orange and Vodafone are all stocking the device as well.
