Open-source collaboration software provider Open-Xchange (www.open-xchange.com) is partnering with email security provider (www.spamexperts.com) to deliver integrated email security to cloud providers that offer Open-Xchange groupware as a Service.
According to Open-Xchange's Tuesday announcement, a service provider can either run SpamExperts' fully-managed email security service directly on the servers or as a hosted cloud service on redundant SpamExperts servers in 10 highly-secure data centers worldwide.
"With the combination of Open-Xchange and SpamExperts, SaaS providers can deliver greater value to their SMB customers, while differentiating themselves in the competitive market by offering professional, secure and affordable communication solutions," Open-Xchange chief executive officer Rafael Laguna said in a statement. "By integrating the Open-Xchange and SpamExperts software, considerable cost-savings accrue that improve service providers' competitive position."
The service includes updates, 24x7 monitoring, and regular maintenance to ensure high filter accuracy. Futher, a quarantine system, full API, reporting and many more functions allow both full control of email flows and easy integration into existing systems.
According to the announcement, the first joint Open-Xchange and SpamExperts customers to benefit from the integration are Luxembourg's LuxCloud (www.luxcloud.com), and Swiss Web host NovaTrend (www.novatrend.ch).
SpamExperts has made a name for itself by providing reliable and affordable professional email security solutions to ISPs, Web hosts, telecoms, and small and medium-sized businesses. Given its one-million-plus filtered domains, SpamExperts is capable of industry-leading filter accuracy.
"Accurate and cost-effective spam protection is essential for every email server," SpamExperts CEO Sam Renkema stated. "While organizations that run their e-mail server in-house should use SpamExpert software as a service, we offer ISPs the ability to have their own SaaS installation to further reduce cost and sell in high volumes to their end customers."
SpamExperts will showcase this newly integrated solution at the second Open-Xchange Partner Summit, which is scheduled for November 4 in Cologne, Germany
