Today marks a milestone in the history of the internet as ICANN (the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers) has rolled out a system that allows full domain names with no Latin characters in them. Egypt, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates are the first three countries to benefit from this advancement, while web addresses in Chinese, Thai and Tamil are soon to follow.
