The UK is set to experience an unprecedented level of cyber attacks in 2022, warn UKFast SOC Analysts.
The team of security experts have identified an alarming rise in threat level and outright attacks, including a 17% spike in suspicious events during the last 3 months.
They’re detecting threats from every corner of the globe including USA, Russia, Germany, China and India. What’s more, the number of attacks prevented by the SOC analysts is up by 950% since December – protecting customers from data breaches, potential downtime and systems vulnerability exploits.
These stats combined with the fact Microsoft claims to have stopped the biggest ever DDoS cyberattack in history in January 2022, shows the level of uncertainty IT teams across the country could be facing this year.
Head of Defensive Securities and Compliance at UKFast, Stephen Crow commented, “Many organisations simply can’t tell how exposed to threats they are. Assessing the most likely entry points for hackers and the potential business impact is difficult without the correct tooling. This is a key time for organisations to understand how to plug historic vulnerabilities, find the best infrastructure to secure their network, and how to reduce security debt long term with a managed detection and response service.”
