September has flown by and, while lockdown restrictions continue to affect the whole of the UK, we’ve been hard at work at UKFast, continuing to seek out improvements and upgrades across our services. Read on to find out what we’ve been up to over the last few weeks, including an exciting announcement about how we’re expanding our public sector presence.
We’re pleased to announce that UKFast has now been confirmed as an approved G-Cloud 12 supplier. As part of the Government supplier network, this new accreditation allows us to continue to build on our successful track record in public sector transformation projects.
This means our full range of cloud services can now be delivered under the G-Cloud 12 framework, presenting the public sector with secure access to public and private cloud solutions, along with the exert consultancy services required for effortless migration.
Throughout September we’ve also been busy making upgrades to our WAF core rulesets, updating to capture more of the latest attack vectors. This update has also brought with it some speed increases, with tweaks to our core rules resulting in faster scanning and eliminating an error that was occurring on a small subset of requests.
In August’s update we touched on the introduction of our new WAF log tools, which have been extremely well received – thanks for all the feedback so far! We’ve continued to expand on this functionality, adding more information to each log and match, improving performance and cutting request times by more than a third.
Alongside this, an update to make logs easier to use and understand is set to be launched very soon.
To enable us to keep up to date with ever changing IP intelligence lists, we’ve carried out some work to further automate the deployment of updated datasets. This means we can be certain that the latest available dataset is always used, protecting DDoSx® customers’ domains more intelligently than ever before.
Stay tuned for more updates coming soon.
