The UKFast techies are superexcited today and cracked a party popper or two.
Our eCloud® Vault storage system now holds over one billion objects!
#FridayFeeling
This is fantastic news for our highly-trusted system, which is used by thousands of UKFast clients every day. We know who’ll be having a few beers tonight.
We’re the biggest UK-based
object storage provider.
An object is an image, PDF, video, audio file or any other file. Some people use eCloud® Vault as a repository of for their regular backups to be stored at a very low cost. Others use it for archiving data and digitising all of their old financial and business records.
Handy.
eCloud® Vault has been helping out our clients since August 2014 and we’re thrilled to reach one billion objects, so…
When a file’s uploaded to Vault, we make three copies of it and store them in different places. This means that even in the extremely unlikely event that we lose 60% of our infrastructure, the files kept in Vault are still safe and locked away.
We process tens of thousands of operations per second on Vault
Support is available 24/7/365. The Vault team are extremely experienced engineers, used to managing data in numbers that would boggle the minds of most people.
Vault is designed to scale massively. Upload a small family album or import all of your business backups and documents; it doesn’t make a difference. As it’s a pay-as-you-go service, you are only billed for what you use and as usage grows and shrinks it scales instantly.
We have a simple drag-and-drop interface to upload files straight from any device through MyUKFast, and it’s compatible with nearly every backup and storage solution out there.
