eCommerce is taking over. It was the only trillion dollar market in the US last year, and retailers are increasingly moving their market online – there were over 12 million stores online in 2015, to give you an idea. But this can make it hard for businesses to stand out in a field that is both increasingly saturated and simultaneously, relatively uncharted territory.
Last year we hosted eCommerce Live 2015 here at UKFast Campus, an event to celebrate the coming together of all things eCommerce, complete with expert speakers, workshops and insights. We’ll be posting a couple of the highlights over the coming weeks so that you can benefit from the top tips and insights too. Here’s our CEO Lawrence to get the party started.
Lawrence introduced the event by sharing some of his experiences as a hosting provider. At UKFast we host tens of thousands of eCommerce sites, which means that we’ve got a pretty decent bird’s eye view of what works and what doesn’t; we’re also curious people, and always looking deeper to ensure that we’re helping our customers do the best they can – even if it means challenging the likes of Google.
Lawrence’s talk draws on an incredible sixteen years’ worth of insights; here’s what he said:
Coming up, you’ll be hearing expert insights from the likes of Patrick Obolgogiani of Nosto on Personalisation, Dan Cluderay of Approved Foods talking Offline to Online, Steve Oliver of Music Magpie revealing his business secrets, and loads more!
