Born and bred in Manchester, UKFast has always been incredibly proud to be a northern business. Having come up from the south, I’ve been – all jokes about chips and gravy aside (which, as it turns out is like a hug in a meal!) – blown away by how much everyone in the company loves this city, and how committed UKFast is to helping Manchester grow and be a great place to live and work. And it seems I’m not the only one who’s noticed, as last night we were incredibly honoured to take home the MEN Business of the Year (£10m-£25m category)!
We last won the award in 2008, and it’s amazing to see how far we’ve come in that time. From the days when the company was rattling around a City Tower office (which was way too big for us), to becoming a buzzing 50,000sq ft of awesomeness in the UKFast Campus, it’s exciting to see how the company has progressed. With four wholly-owned data centres in Trafford Park, we’re striving to help to improve connectivity in the area, and there’s constant innovation coming out of our tech team (and all areas of the company!).
We’re committed to helping Manchester grow and become the UK’s second city, and THE place in the UK for digital innovation! You only have to watch our Happy in Manchester video, hear about some of our Random Acts of Kindness, use any of the bespoke solutions our tech guys create and support, or see how committed our training team are to supporting other businesses in the city, to realise how much it means to our CEO Lawrence Jones, his wife Gail, and the rest of the company.
Lawrence and the whole team would like to thank everyone for their support over the past fifteen years – we couldn’t have done it without you; here’s to the next fifteen!
