Nominations have been whittled down to a final five in each category of the UKFast Digital Entrepreneur Awards 2012, leaving the panel of judges in the unenviable position of having to choose the winners.
With an unprecedented amount of entries to this year’s competition, the DEA team had a tough job picking just five businessmen and women to make up the official shortlists.
The North West of England has put up a great show in 2012’s competition with nine companies competing for various titles.
Our CEO and judge on the DEAs panel, Lawrence Jones, values innovative spirit and innovation highly and has looked for evidence of both in the entries he’s judged. He said: “UKFast has innovation at its core so it’s fitting for us to sponsor the Digital Entrepreneur Awards that recognise the innovators and entrepreneurs that are changing the face of the net as we know it.
“It’s been inspiring to judge such a high calibre of entries from pioneering businesses across the UK and we’re looking forward to celebrating all of the finalists’ achievements at the event in October.”
The full list of finalists can be found here with all eyes on the shortlisted nominees for the big award Digital Entrepreneur of the year. This year’s shortlist is: Clive Bridgeman, Gas-n-Go Limited; William Muir, Limelight Software Limited; John Straw, Linkdex; Polly Gowers, Everyclick; and Mark Pearson, Markco Media Ltd.
Winners will be announced at a glittering ceremony at Manchester’s Hilton Hotel in the city’s landmark Beetham Tower on October 16th. There are still tables available and tickets can be purchased on the DEA website.
Until then we send congratulations and good luck to all of the finalists!
