Competing With The Best

It’s awards season once again and we’re thrilled to have made the shortlist in a handful of competitions this year. Being included in the finals of any event is always a great honour and the news has brought even more energy to the UKFast team.

We’ve been named as a finalist in two categories at this year’s prestigious National Business Awards. Not only are we up for the Croner Employer of the Year but our MD Lawrence Jones is representing the team in the Entrepreneur of the Year category. We’ll now battle it out with more than 150 of the country’s most innovative and sustainable businesses before the winners are announced in November.

I spoke to Lawrence earlier today and he said: “We’re extremely proud to be shortlisted for these awards – especially those that recognise our efforts in providing a great environment for our team to prosper. Our people are our most valuable asset and we do whatever we can to inspire them. It is fantastic to be named alongside some of the UK’s greatest businesses and entrepreneurs.”

We’ve also played host to judges for the European Call Centre and Customer Service awards this month after being shortlisted in their Employer of the Year category. While the judging process was entirely confidential, we received very positive feedback on the good impression made by our energetic and passionate team.

We’re also competing on a regional level this year with the judges from the Manchester Evening News paying us a visit earlier this week and Lawrence placing in the final list for EN’s North West Entrepreneur of the Year.

Winning EN’s big award would mean following in the footsteps of some of the region’s finest business minds including Bruntwood’s Chris Oglesby and Tony Wilson of Klarius.

All in all it is shaping up to be a very exciting season here at UKFast and we’d like to wish everyone the best of luck in any awards they’ve been shortlisted for this year.
