For people’s names I can understand the need to maintain your identity it’s part and parcel of the strength of your online brand. But I believe the importance of generic website names has decreased with the popularity of search, social networking sites, bookmarking sites and RSS feeds. I’m not saying names are not important – but I do believe that as businesses we need to be aware of the ways in which people find and catalogue our information on the web and we need to make it as easy as possible for them to do this.
