Speeding up Britain
With Google confirming that faster websites provide better user experiences and achieve higher search rankings, UKFast is encouraging businesses to build a faster online Britain.
Following the search giant's announcement that website speed is now a factor in its natural Pagerank algorithm, UKFast has unveiled a £1million fund that will help 1000 British businesses achieve success online.
The UKFast Growth Through Innovation (GTI) scheme will offer £1,000 grants to help businesses speed up their proposition through comprehensive web hosting.
Building on the impact that page load speed has on Google Quality Score, faster websites are becoming an increasing priority for companies also looking to climb search rankings and encourage customers to spend longer and spend more.
Lawrence Jones, MD of UKFast, said, "Ecommerce is one of the fastest growing markets in the world. With Google recognising that rapid sites create a better user experience, it has never been more important for online businesses to quite literally accelerate their online fortunes.
"As the fastest network in the UK, we are in a great position to help UK companies gain better online exposure and grow their businesses."
