Snowdon team adventure weekend

On a sunny morning in February the bravest members of UKFast set out to carry on the company tradition of conquering Mount Snowdon.

After a hearty full welsh breakfast, we left the St.Kilda hotel in Llandudno and travelled in a convoy of cars to reach our destination.

Decked out in all our fancy outdoor gear and walking boots, we took the Rhyd Ddu Path which is known as the quiet side of Snowdon, although this still involves walking along the cliff edge as it steepens and narrows, definately not for the faint hearted!

During the course of the gruelling climb the group split into two groups with the heavy weights completing the climb in 3 hours 45 minutes and the leisurely walkers taking 4 and a half hours. Luckily the weather conditions stayed perfect so when we finally reached the summit we were able to take in the spectacular views (as well as get our breath back!).

Chris Norton, programmer at UKFast really enjoyed the experience. "It's good to simply get away from the city and get out into some amazing countryside - even if you do turn bright red and almost stop breathing halfway up... well, I survived and had a great time in the end".

"Conditions were perfect" says Lawrence, "with a few new additions to the team, the weekend was a great initiation to UKFast and the way we interact".

And as if this wasn't enough excitement for the weekend, the UKFast team also walked up the Great Orme and went tobogganing on the Sunday. Samantha Woolstencroft, PR & marketing assistant, proved to be the most adept tobogganer, unable to find her brakes she recorded the fastest lap.
