Sale Shark fly half and International England player Charlie Hodgson has survived a tough year of injuries but is now on an all time high with the prospect of playing for England in the coming season. The Sale Sharks player who is sponsored by Manchester-based Internet Service Provider UKFast is highly encouraged by the prospect of playing for the England squad with Johnny Wilkinson currently on the injury list.

With a full house of over 10,500 supporters, the atmosphere is set to be electric this weekend when the Sharks clash with Newcastle Falcons at the Stockport Stadium.Charlie Hodgson was one of seven Sharks players who trained with the national rugby team this week increasing his chances of wearing the England Kit for the coming game.

Charlie Hodgson says “It is a great shame Johnny is not playing, I was looking forward to a head to head clash especially in front of such a huge supporter base which is growing with every game. Due to the world cup, rugby is becoming a high profile game and we are keen to attract even more visitors to the stadium.”

Officials claim that 70 per cent of all rugby tickets are now sold online proving the success of the web site. The web site is managed and developed by UKFast's in-house creative team boosting the team's image and presence in the region.

Charlie Hodgson says: “UKFast has sponsored me for three seasons now and I have a very close and personal relationship with the Managing Director Lawrence Jones that goes beyond the rugby pitch. He is a keen Rubgy player himself and has supported the club for many years now. The company has built a terrific web site, which brings the fans and the players closer together.”

He adds: “UKFast enabled the club to build a consistent online presence. Since the launch of the web site our number of supporters rocketed upwards as more and more people travel with us to away games to support us on the ground.”

Lawrence Jones, Managing Director of UKFast says: “I'm incredibly proud to have a fly half like Charlie Hodgson in our camp. He incorporates speed, a youthful dynamism and he is definitely going places. Charlie's image represents everything UKFast stands for. Both he and the company have a golden future to look forward to.”

Charlie Hodgson has fully recovered from his injury last year and with new coach Phillippe Saint-Andre, everything is pointing toward a new start for the player as well as the whole team. Since his arrival at Edgeley Park, Saint-Andre blended in well and is determined to drive the team to record results in the European Cup Challenge Finals.
