UKFast wins third award in a single month

A Manchester hosting provider says it is thrilled to continue to win awards in the current economic climate. UKFast has announced its third award win in the last month, confirming its status as a leader in the technology industry.

The company's managing director, Lawrence Jones, says this proves that despite recession talk, businesses can continue to flourish.

"Our primary objective is to grow the businesses we work with," says Jones. "Many companies stop competing when they hear the word 'recession.' Talking yourself into a recession only makes it worse. We're concentrating on growth and we're succeeding. Business has never been better for us and the benefits are passed onto our clients."

The trio of awards incorporates the MEN's Business of the Year, the Deloitte Fast 50 and most recently a place in the international InfoWorld 100.

The awards:

• The prestigious MEN award recognises performance, leadership, development and community work. In winning the £10m category, UKFast beat off more competition than in any other award to become a Manchester's Business of the Year 2008.
• The Deloitte 50 award places UKFast as the fastest growing technology business in the Manchester region with 894% growth over the last 5 years.
• The InfoWorld 100 includes UKFast as the only hosting provider within its list, citing the in-house R&D that allows the company to compete at the top of its field as instrumental to its success.
