About the UKFast Podcast
The UKFast Podcast ran from early 2006 through to 2008 and took a regular look at areas of business and the various ways the Internet has transformed them.
At the end of 2007 the podcast began evolving into the UKFast Film Production team, which now produces videos for UKFast and many of its clients.
For the duration of the podcast, each month, Jonathan Bowers, UKFast's communications director presented short audio shows drawing in talent and expertise from across the internet sector.
The podcast puts particular emphasis on the marketing and technical aspects of an online business and also incorporates interviews with businesses across the UK who are achieving success. From tips on developing your web presence, through to more technical aspects such as patching your servers, it offered something new and relevant.
Why develop a Podcasting studio?
Podcasting emerged as a popular media for businesses. The form allows companies to present their expertise on a friendly and personal level.
The UKFast Podcasting Studio was set up to offer clients the chance to do just this. With an eclectic mix of businesses on the UKFast Network the resource grew not only as a business knowledge base, but a directory of companies competing at the top of their fields online.
The Chamber View podcast
UKFast also collaborated with the Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce to produce Chamber View, which delivered online highlights of Chamber events so that all businesses gained benefit. The podcasts included interviews with Ed Balls (economic secretary to the Treasury), Chris Barry (MEN business editor) and Jacqueline Gold (CEO of Ann Summers).
You can still download individual podcasts.
