Secure and reliable datacentre MaNOC

Following on from the success of MaNOC 2 and the rapid expansion of our Manchester-hosted client portfolio we needed a second Manchester facility in which to host clients' servers.

MaNOC (the name was inherited from an older, now decommissioned site) was the perfect solution. It is a newly commissioned bespoke data centre which delivers a further 7000 sq ft of premium data centre space to our hosting portfolio.

Like MaNOC 2, the new data centre is located on the Manchester hub and so it offers high-speed and reliable connectivity.

Furthermore, as a brand new facility MaNOC delivers best-practise energy saving technology that fulfils our green energy policy and can contribute to our clients' energy saving initiatives. The data centre employs a coolair technology and uses the highly efficient 80-NET UPS system to deliver tangible energy savings.

Neil Lathwood, UKFast's IT director has overseen the design of the new complex and charts it as a crucial link in the company chain.
