Intel Core2Duo technology incorporates two microprocessors within a single chip as in other Dual Core chipsets. Intel's Core2Duo architecture provides vastly improved performance and greater energy efficiency compared to a single core chip. To put this into perspective, two 2GHz processors combined in a Dual Core chip runs only a fraction slower than a single 4GHz processor and produces fewer emissions at a lower cost.
