A project to prevent 'cyber attack'

6 June 2007

Manchester's award winning internet hosting company UKFast has unveiled a £32m development programme.

Project32 is set to transform the internet opportunities for businesses and includes a research and development fund for cutting-edge innovations, as well as BASE fund - a project that provides financial assistance to companies interested in building a safer environment.

Lawrence Jones, UKFast's managing director, said: "Our primary objective is to achieve a network that is secure, robust and resilient against all forms of cyber attack. In order to achieve this we have worked hard to forge very close links with both Cisco and Microsoft. The result is a 'best of breed' network that utilises the very latest technology and software in order to give businesses the confidence to go ahead and trade online."
