UKFast in the Community

The UKFast values are at the heart of everything that we do, and we are proud to sponsor a range of projects that represent our professional and passionate ethos.

We take investment in the community very seriously and aim to continually give back to the causes that we are passionate about, be that through sponsorship schemes, fundraising days or our carbon neutrality.

Manchester Camerata

With a passion for music at his core, our CEO Lawrence Jones used the industry leading skills of UKFast to design and host the Manchester Camerata website.

Since May 2011, Lawrence has sat on the Board of Directors of the Camerata and continues to build a great partnership with the organisation.

The Naked Scientists

We are delighted to sponsor one of the world's most popular science podcasts, the Naked Scientists.

This group of media-savvy physicians and researchers use radio, live lectures, and the internet to promote science to the general public, to great acclaim.

Salford City Reds

As of 2011, we are partnered with local rugby club Salford City Reds.

The Reds provide top class professional sporting excellence and entertainment in the rugby league's premier division. They enhance the electric atmosphere of match-day, providing an exciting experience for players, spectators and those of our clients who choose to go along and enjoy our hospitality at the games.

Green hosting

We are the first hosting provider to be certified as 100% carbon neutral under BSI PAS 2060. Not only is our whole business certified as carbon neutral, each of the hosting solutions we provide receives this status. Achieving sustainability for the longer term means we have begun a three-step plan that will see in-house generation of 'clean energy' at hydro-electric power plants in Wales and Scotland.

ICT Diploma

Investing in the future of the internet is a key priority for us at UKFast, so we jumped at the chance to be involved in the pilot scheme for the national ICT diploma. The diploma, for 14-18 year olds, offers a vocational accreditation in IT worth 4 GCSEs and 2 A Levels.

UKFast is the main business involved with the diploma in schools across Greater Manchester. We hold workshops, seminars and data centre tours, as well as setting the students challenges to engage them with IT in a tangible, interactive and exciting way. The diploma enables young people to prioritise technology and aims to encourage more talented youngsters into the industry.

Fundraising days

In the spirit of being the Most Fun and Friendly Workplace, the team here at UKFast always loves to dress up - even more so when we can raise money for a good cause. Every year we have dedicated fundraising days for Wear it Pink, Children in Need and Comic Relief among others.
